Meet Abed Naima

Abed Naima is the Founder of Recruitment Circles, a platform revolutionizing the recruitment process within the tech industry. Through Recruitment Circles, organizations can find talent that matches both technical skills and cultural fit.
Abed has a background in HR, recruitment, and team building, however, she always felt like something was missing. We sat down with Abed ahead of our upcoming Lunch & Learn session to learn more about her reason for being.
How did she get here? Ahead of our upcoming event – Lunch & Learn on Wednesday 23rd April – we sat down with Ikigai member, Abed Naima, to learn more about her career journey and motivation.
Where it began
‘Initially, I thought I’d pursue law, but I was drawn more to the psychology of work – how people engage, lead, and find meaning in what they do.’
At the heart of everything she does is a people-first approach.
Abed has a deep curiosity for human behavior – a passion for understanding people and how they engage at work. She explored various roles before discovering her true purpose. She started in HR, focusing on recruitment and team building, before transitioning into organizational development.
During her time in HR, she identified a missing link that hinders impact. She emphasizes that true transformation occurs when psychology and businesses intersect, which led to her shift into organizational development.
In her current role, Abed combines her passion for strategy, people, and workplace culture to create impactful solutions for teams and organizations. She expanded her expertise to include leadership coaching, workplace culture development, and performance optimization.
Abed’s motivation
‘Passion fuels my curiosity and commitment, while my mission—to create workplaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered—keeps me grounded. Seeing people and teams achieve their potential is what makes the work meaningful.’
What’s next?
In the short term, she is preparing to pursue a PhD in Organizational Psychology. At the moment, this includes diving deeper into research. This will contribute to her long-term goal of being a thought leader on workplace culture, leadership and sustainable business growth through academia and in practice in her role as a consultant.
What do you like about your experience as an Ikigai member?
‘Ikigai embodies everything I believe in — community, purpose, and meaningful work. I simply love the energy of the Space!’
How do you unwind and find balance?
Abed is an avid reader. She mentions that she finds balance in reading as books allow her to step into different worlds, reflect, and recharge. For her, reading keeps her grounded and inspired.
Her favorite genres? Fiction, psychology, and history. Her favorite books? You’ll have to join us on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 at Ikigai Westlands on Peponi Road to ask her in-person. Until then, you can connect with Abed via:
